Repeat Clients are the BEST

Not only do I get to do what I absolutely LOVE for a living, I also get to work with incredible people who end up being dear friends.  I'm honored to announce my latest sales involving the most darling couple who have been more than clients over the years. I sold them the Vineyard Lane condo back in 2013 and now they're ready for a change of scenery. We found them their perfect spot in the new Grow Community Development right in town where they are settling in for a convenient lifestyle of walking into town on a daily basis!

‘Tis the season to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty — in the garden, of course. This spring, get inspired at the 29th annual Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour, which provides the perfect opportunity to peruse some of the best garden designs the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, home and garden enthusiasts will experience five private outdoor spaces on a self-guided tour. The popular event, which draws visitors from around the country, showcases stunning home gardens in a leisurely setting. Garden owners and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and to discuss the colorful flora and impressive designs. Live music — specifically matched to each space — will add to every garden’s allure, and participants will enjoy everything from classical and choral music to bluegrass and reggae.

Each garden has its own flair, highlighting innovation, style, and creativity. Featuring orchards, waterfront properties with rolling lawns, wooded plots, water features, native plants, and local vegetables, the tour is a spectacle of our region’s enhanced natural beauty.

The Beach House at Pleasant Beach Hangs Ten on Bainbridge Island

The Beach House at Pleasant Beach located on the south of Bainbridge Island is tucked away in the Lynwood Center.  This cozy restaurant is located across the street and up the hill from the Lynwood movie theater.

While recently opened, it has shot up the list of many Bainbridge Island diners as a one of their favorites on the island.

The views are fabulous and can be enjoyed from the outside terrace that also features a fire pit and water feature.  This warm and comfortable atmosphere soothes as you devour a variety of tasty treats.

The All American style menu with a Northwest twist has a great mix of dishes that can satisfy any craving.  Choose from Waygu beef tartare with quail egg, Macadamia-nut crusted chicken, Market inspired Risotto, A Chilli Prawn Platter and more mouth watering delights; All made from scratch!

To cap off your meal, enjoy a Dessert shot.  An amazing idea especially for those who simply don’t leave enough room for a full dessert and great for those who have to try a few different sweet treats.

Show up early for a seat on the terrace as there are no reservations taken for that area.

Bainbridge Island Brewery Turns 1!

Everybody loves a birthday bash and this fun day of beers, food and music is a party you won’t want to miss.  Come celebrate Bainbridge Island Brewery’s first birthday this Sunday.

There will be several new beer releases and a special 1st Anniversary Ale, a 11.5% Wheatwine aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.  This special ale will be flowing all day on tap, but a limited amount will be bottled and available for you to take home. The years best beers will be highlighted including the popular Battle Point Square Whiskey Barrel Stout and another curious concoction known as the “Beerito”; a smooth brew that incorporates Cool Ranch Dorito’s.

Compliment your beer with a wood fired pizza from Bon Fire Oven works, and savour while listening to the musical stylings of Rye and Barley; the north Kitsap folk duo with a Celtic twist.  The outdoor area will be expanded so there will be plenty of room to soak up some rays.

Join the fun!

Bainbridge Island Bakery Heaven

I never thought I would ever rave about toast, but it’s one of the many delicious favorites that can found at the Blackbird Bakery on Bainbridge Island.  Ask any Bainbridge Islander here and I’m sure they would agree that their delicious bread and the baked goods are out of this world.

The owners, Jeff Shepard and Heidi Umphenour opened the Blackbird in 1999 and have been busy baking breads, quiche and sweets for a grateful community ever since.  They champion local food products in their soups, sandwiches and salads for lunch.  All goodies are backed onsite with the highest quality ingredients. In the evening, small plates of appetizers are served with beer and wine.

“We’re talking to local and county farmers about the products they can provide us,” Shepard said. “We want local and seasonal food to dominate our menu. It depends on availability, but we want to be as local as much as possible.”

The inside of the restaurant is a cozy 600 square feet, which is large enough for 10 two-person tables. There will also be four tables placed in a 300-square-foot courtyard that is tucked away from traffic.

INSIDERS TIP:  Blackbird Bakery is a cash only business so come prepared if you just carry plastic.  It gets busy on the weekends and when a ferry unloads and you are sometimes greeted with lines out the door.  But stick it out, it’s definitely worth it.
