2015 is poised to be a breakout year for millennial home-buying. Gone are the days of Generation Y avoiding family making and real estate investment. As the economy has improved, so has millennial comfort with the idea of such a large investment. 

Interestingly, despite such a heavy reliance on the Internet, millennials are more apt than previous generations to rely on a real estate agent (as opposed to other generations' reliance on open houses to find their dream homes). The personal touch and rapport offered between the millennial buyer and agent is one of the main draws to using a real estate agent in the home-buying process.
